#1 · Jun 29, 2007 I just bought a 2004 Mazda 6 GS Sport Sedan and I'm wondering about how to install my 12" subwoofer and 800watt amp. Is there any way to tap into the wiring harness behind the faceplate of the stereo? or is a sub out of the question? any help would be awesome. Subwoofer install 2020 Mazda 6. Does anyone know if installing a subwoofer will void manufacture warranty? I don't think it will but would love to know before hand. The Bose system lacks a lot of punch and having the 8" woofers vibrating your leg and the door mirrors isn't exactly ideal..

Hi mate, I'm installing a sub in dads car, (2021 Mazda 6 with bose) I initially tried with the rear deck speakers but the signal was too low, even with the 1000w amp turned all the way up. then I tried with the door by removing the door card, but the grommet leading into the b pillar is not a hole but a connector.

I have two options, from what I read I believe the Bose amp is under the front passenger seat. I can either tap the pre-amp wire between the head-unit running to the Bose amp, or run a plug and play solution with the PAC AOEM.

From there I Replaced the wimpy factory 1" tweeters with 3.5 inch speakers with 1" tweeters in the center (the touring trim has an extra mounting point for the gt size speakers) and replaced both the front and rear door speakers with kicker cs series (6.5 front 6.75 rear) and it was significant better.
